Central MDX and License Option

 

The FORMULATOR executable files can be installed on a central server, or locally on the client PC.  Installation on the client PC is usually done for reasons of performance.

 

After installing the FORMULATOR client locally, run FORMULATOR.  From the main menu, select Help – About.  Then click the “Register” button:

 

 

 

The following window will appear:

 

 

Click on “Set MDX Path”.

 

A windows explorer dialog will open.  Navigate to the location where the central FORMULATOR installation resides, and select the FORMULATOR.MDX file within that folder.

 

Following this step, the FORMULATOR client will be installed locally, but will coordinate with other users via the central shared folder.
